Harvesting Hope 2025 celebrates WFP’s 30th Anniversary

Last night, Pantry friends, fans, donors and volunteers gathered to celebrate the Westchester Food Pantry’s 30th anniversary. Together, participants donated over $20,000 for much-needed food, supplies, and equipment—gifts that felt like birthday presents for the Pantry as we mark 30 years of service. Guests heard heartfelt reflections from Junior Advisory Board President Rhia Nagale and longtime volunteer Barbara Tadin, who shared what the Pantry means to them. Mayor Katrina Thompson of Broadview reminded us that supporting the Pantry requires not just funds and talents, but also the most precious gift we can give: our time. Westchester President Greg Hribal surprised the audience with a special proclamation honoring the Pantry’s three decades of service.

Executive Director Amanda Grant followed by highlighting the commitment of volunteers and the strength of community support, noting that while we’ve built an amazing organization over the past 30 years, it will be all of us working together that carries the Pantry forward for the next 30. She also acknowledged the incredible challenges we face now and in the years ahead, but affirmed that with the community’s support and strength, the Pantry will continue to serve our neighbors in need. Together, we make a difference!
