Grassroots Garden Club continues partnership with Westchester Food Pantry
At the Westchester Food Pantry, volunteers, supporters and donors provide the resources we need to consistently provide nutritious and necessary groceries to those facing food insecurity in our communities. Today, we’d like to highlight the Grassroots Garden Group for their recent donations.
The Grassroots Garden Group have been longtime partners of the Pantry, volunteering and donating proceeds from their annual Seedling Sale and Garden Walk events to our organization. This year, group members spent over 100 hours planting, tending and watering more than 600 vegetable seedlings, herbs, bulbs and flowers for their Seedling Sale, and raised $2,685 for the Pantry! In addition, all unsold vegetable seedlings will be donated to Pantry clients. We appreciate their dedication to ending hunger in our communities. The 2023 Garden Walk is scheduled for July 22–save the date!
