The Westchester Food Pantry recently received a $5000 grant from Nourishing Neighbors
As the charitable partner for this Jewel Osco location we are pleased to be a grant recipient for Nourishing Neighbors. We plan to use the funds to help children get nutritious food through the summer months. At Westchester Food Pantry we are increasing nutritious options so that each family has access to yogurt, milk, cheese and eggs, as well as healthy snacks and more vegetables.
Nourishing Neighbors is a charitable program of Jewel Osco Foundation. The program aims to eradicate childhood hunger in America by keeping food banks stocked and supporting meal distribution programs at schools. In 2022, along with the Albertsons Companies Foundation, the Company contributed more than $200 million in food and financial support, including over $40 million through our Nourishing Neighbors Program to ensure those living in our communities and those impacted by disasters have enough to eat.
